cambodia day 9 wed (20th june)

today is our last day with planned programmes.
first: carnival at a school/
it was kind of messy as we did not racky the place beforehand (we had no time to do it) and confident that it isnt a big problem, we started off a little messy. we were late, but but but everyone was cooperative. out of the messiness, we do pretty good at controlling the queue, waiting time, prizes.. we gave away the last batch of sweets, stckers and soft toys that we have. and shereen finally left the teddy bear that she liked for another child./ .
after the carnival was a skit by some. they prepared one to share about christ. it had some comedy in it. and i think they did pretty good. eliza did a magic trick too. again, i shall not thrift on praise. she's worth it (:
second: last village. (with feeding programme)
again, the children stood in two rows by the side, and welcome us like though we were the brides and grooms. it was embarassing in the begining. but we grew thicker skinned to it, and dun feel so shy. the kids here are really well mannered. they are so polite. they wanted to wipe our chair clean for us, pour drinks for us.. treat us so well like we are vip guest. and i dun feel very comfortable about it. so we insist no no on wiping our chairs. we pour drinks for them instead. and help them untie their plastic bag with food. they were also attentive and cooperative when it comes to learning of toothbrushing and handwashing. even at games, they had fun, but they behave well!
at night, was a steamboat buffet at a nearby restuarant. dun expect too much from the restuarant. it has little variety, pork oil to replace butter and the design of the steamboat is such that the grilling part is small, and the food always slip down into the stream of soup. and so, i was kind of pek chey in the end. and chang yao agree that my bbq skill si good cos he says: how come you bbq one nicer than ours? :) proud (:
den: back to hotel for bubble bath-time!
